Since we're all likely to spend a lot of time talking about McBride in the next few months, perhaps this can be the Everton forum's general McHead thread. I'll also post news I come across of him in here.

Anywhere to bet on the odds of McBride scoring against Southampton?

So far, McBride has three goals and one assist in four games. Not bad at all. He's worked very hard in every game and it was a smart move by Moyes to bring him in IMO.

That's fantastic to read about. I've always stood behind McBride when he took stick from all his critics and its great to see him doing so well. Although I hope that he does'nt just drop off like JMM did. What are the chances this might be permanant? And was this game on FSW?

Im just wondering if Rodrigo will be comming back next season as the deal was for a one year loan. and if it worked out it was to cost us big. but with him not playing due to injury Im not sure if we would still get him on loan or would we have to pay up to keep him.

Don't forget we have Chadwick, and blue boy Leon Osman coming up on the right with Alexandersson who is injured.

On the left is probably where we'll want the most depth, and Rodrigo is a possibility there or up top.

Strkers can always get better and eventually Campbell and Ferguson will be phased out...3 seasons max I'd say.

And don't forget we've been producing some decent talent as of late even discounting Rooney...Jeffers, Ball....etc.

I would rather have Mcbride over Campbell any day. Campbell can manage to hit the center of Stanly park from the six yard box with no one to beat.

This is a goal (no pun intended) -- to make Everton "one of the youngest sides"? That seems to be an easy thing to do. My wife an I are expecting in a few months. Are there contracts available?

One way of securing the future of the club, also if they do well enough make a few quid on a trade later.

The Scot is trying to follow in the footsteps of Man U under Ferguson Leeds under O'Leary (minus the cash of course) and Liverpool under Houlier, minus their current state of course. I think that is a brillaint idea actually, keep our young talent and bring in youthful lads who want to take up their careers here.

I've always liked McBride and I'm glad he's finally getting a chance to play in the Premier League. I wish him all the luck in the world except against Arsenal & DC United. ;)

What are the chances of Everton upping their bid to MLS and trying to keep McBride around for the rest of the Premiership season?

i like mcbride, he's been a great little addition to our squad this season and has scored some useful goals for us. however, he was bought as a utility player, as backup...when campbell gets back to full fitness, which seems a little way off yet, i don't think he'll get a look in.

there's no way i can see moyes paying the $5m that the MLS ask for him in the summer when his loan comes to an end. that's big money that everton simply don't have.

I'm honestly not sure. I don't think MLS wants to do it at all but I think this is one of those cases where they should perhaps sell him. Though McBride left his family at home and I would think that that is an indication that he was definitely going to come back by April. He has spoken of how he misses them, so unless he moves them overseas, thats a very good question.

McBride is having a dream start to his life on Merseyside, I honestly hope it continues for the lad...eerily reminiscent of JMM isn't it though...ah memories

Alot of us over here (washinton d.c.) dont like him a whole lot... although he is good with his head ;)

I personally think he's a very talented player, yet he's no where near the skill level of Landon Donovan
and I fear he is about level with 13 year old prodigy

Also, Ruiz isnt as great as alot of people think.....

the MLS Cup was a great example.... he might have been having a bad game but 5 or 6 easy chances on goal aired or sent wide on open net....
not saying he's a bad player, he has his days....

good job Brian and good luck to come, as long as you dont score against DC....
