Does anybody like soy milk?

January 7th, 2009
  • its ok.

  • Better than regular milk.

  • If it has fruity pebbles in it.

  • It tastes weird but I like organic milk. But that wouldn't work if you were a vegan.

  • i prefer rice milk myself. but soy milk its pretty good

    =]

i was never a really big fan of straight up cows milk, i am kind of paranoid ever since i was eight and took a big gulp of spoiled milk at school..it was chunky

    =[

  • yuk

  • I like it when im cooking or putting on cereal, but not to just drink plain.

  • Sure. I use it mixed with grapefruit juice for my version of Tigers Milk.
For some it is a very healthy alternative. Drink up!

  • I only like chocolate soy milk.

I tend to drink almond or rice milk more.

  • i love soy milk, but it's soooo bad for you. but it's so yummy. soy has estrogen in it, and it gives people hypothyroid :( i haven't had it in YEARS. so sad.

  • Not really, but they say it's good for you, which I think it's just a bunch of bull.

So yeah unfortunately I drink it.
I say unfortunately because it has less calories than milk.

  • yes, it's very delish and tasty. I like all kinds. Unsweetened, sweetened, plain, vanilla, chocolate, etc. I actually saw hemp milk.

  • ME

  • I like the chocolate soy milk from Trader Joe's. Plain is just ok. I heard there is a peppermint flavored soy milk for the holiday season, I wanna try it.

  • i prefer cow milk

  • NO! it sounds horrible would never drink it i drink skim milk and it is much better than soy

  • yeah, but the vanilla flavored, and chocolate is the bomb.

    It's really healthy

  • I thought I would have to get used to soymilk, but I was surprised to find I liked it right away. To me it tastes sort of "cleaner" with a slightly nutty finish that is pretty nice, especially in the chocolate flavors. Now that I'm used to it, cowmilk has a weird sour taste and kind of smells like a zoo.

Silk is probably the most popular brand, and people I've talked to seem to agree it tastes the most like cow's milk. I usually drink Silk Light Plain, and Silk Light Chocolate. I've had the chocolate peppermint one (I think it's made by VitaSoy), and it's yummy, but the absolute best IMO is Silk Coffee flavor. It's like a bottled Frappucino, but dairy-free. VitaSoy also makes chocolate banana and strawberry banana, and then I think you can get some other flavors made by different brands too. During the holidays Silk and VitaSoy both sell eggnog flavors, but I still like real eggnog better.

And I'm not worried about estrogen in soymilk. Phytoestrogens are generally weaker than the estrogenoid compounds in commercial meat and dairy due to the hormones the animals are treated with. You would have to drink gallons of soymilk and eat pounds of tofu daily to show an effect.

  • with chocolate ovaltine

  • nope it sucks

  • Yes some brands are good but I prefer Coconut Milk or Rice Milk but I often buy soy milk when it's cheaper than rice milk or coconut milk!

  • i have a soy milk maker, a machine that automaticly makes my warm, soymilk, before the machine, i have to make it by hand, and people would buy it from me, now with the machine, i don't sell it, it cost about 25cent
    for a gallon, wahahhahahahah

    yea of course, love it
and my soymilk can be made into tofu if i add seasalt to it wahahhahaa

  • it tast pretty good

  • OH OH PICK ME!!!

  • It's not bad. Try the chocolate soy milk. Mmmm. :)

  • I've never had a reason to give it much of a chance but my sister and her 2 daughters are allergic to dairy and they all love vanilla soy milk and chocolate soy milk, as long as it's, "the good brands." Chocolate Silk is a big winner for a lot of people I know. Personally, I'm not a big milk drinker whether it's dairy, soy, or anything else (although chocolate anything is ok in my book!)

  • Yes i drink the vanilla soy milk all the time. I put it in my hot tea, and put it on my cereal.

  • I LOVE SOY MILK ESPECIALLY Silk organic vanilla soymilk

  • It's good for ice cream but doesn't hold a candle to the deliciousness of rice milk!

  • Ugh I don't
    It smells so nasty
ESPECIALLY when it gets old & chunky *gags*
*shudders* I hate having to clean out the bottles for the little kids I watch
    horrible
