I'm 19 and the end of last month I got my period but it's heavy bleeding and it's lasting 14 days is this regular? irregular? is this a symptom ? if so what is the name of that symptom? and what are some causes of periods lasting longer then they should? Does a menstrual period last 7 days (business days)?? normally menstrual period last about 4-7days. But if you are bleeding more than 7days then you should go and see your doctor. good luckPoor thing...I thought I had the worlds longest period for 6 days straight. But I have heard the each person varies regarding their cycle. 14 days does seem to be to long to be on your period, I would think you are losing to much blood. Have you spoken to your Gyn? there are some forms of b.c. that you may take to regulate the flow and duration of your mestrual period. I hope this helps ;-)Periods don't understand business days. Periods can be from 3 to 10 days.
