I have taken him to the vet to excrete his glands, but it still seems to bother him. He licks himself alot. I have tried prep.H, thinking it is hemorroids? I am at my wits end. HELP!!!!Vet.
Well what does your vet say? Surely your vet can look to see what it is - I wouldn't put anything for humans on the dog unless I knew it was safe and would help.
Don't use prep H! go to the vet and tell him what your saying here!Could he be constipated? Maybe he needs his diet adjusted? If it were a hemerrhoid, you'd be able to visibly see it, so the preperation H won't help.Some dogs have more problems with anal sacs than others. It might be time to have them expressed again. Hi
It could be a twisted gut, an x-ray would confirm one way or the other, if it is a twisted gut there's no cause for concern, the vets will simply stitch the intestine back in place. Hope every thing goes well for you both.
Ray. West york's. U.K.Sounds like you need to find a different Vet and get a second opinion. If it's not his anal glands, I'm not sure what it could be. Have you changed his diet recently?Could be something as simple as his anal glands need to be expressed, OR, it could be something more serious. Only your vet can tell you exactly what is wrong and properly treat the problem
