Who do I talk to about quitting?

January 6th, 2009
  • I've worked at Tim Hortons for about a month now, and decided its just not for me. I need to quit very soon. My next shift is on Saturday.
So I'm wondering, who do I talk to or call about quitting, or do I have to wait until my next shift?
I have the number of the girl who hired me, should I call her and tell her I quit?

  • I'm sorry your job isn't working out, but times are hard, and jobs aren't easy to come by.
Perhaps you SHOULD call the girl who hired you, and tell her how you feel. I'm sure she would want to know, because she had to recommend you to her supervisor.
It's just possible you could get your grievances across and something could be worked out.

  • NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! calling is never the answer. Do it in person, and don't be scared. If things don't work out, you know they're a lot better jobs than, working at Tim Horton's. So, don't eat yourself alive!
